The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan has changed the procedure for booking an appointment with a specialist doctor.
Now it is easier to book an appointment with the right doctor!
The main changes:
the period for booking an appointment with a specialist has been extended from 14 to 60 days.
👉 If you return for a follow-up appointment for the same condition, there is no need to obtain a new referral from your family doctor.
* Patients with chronic conditions can now book an appointment for a routine check-up every two months without visiting their family doctor. * The time for a general practitioner has been increased to 6
hours per day.* You can book an appointment in advance through the Damumed system – the schedule opens 2 months in advance.
📊 The Ministry reminded:
specialists can now independently refer patients for tests, ultrasound, CT and MRI – a second visit to the therapist is not required.
According to the EU agency, the new rules will reduce waiting times and make it easier for patients to access specialists.
